Victor Custom VE9-54 Electrola

This piece probably started out life as a stock Victor VE9-54. The original owner had a cabinet maker build the cabinet to match existing furniture in their mansion. It must have been an expensive item as they would have first had to buy a stock VE9-54 for $1,350 then paid the craftsman to build the custom cabinet. It is larger and heavier than the stock 9-54, weighing in at just over 400lbs and measuring 64"H x 43"W x 23"D. This was sold by Denton, Cottiers, & Daniels of Buffalo NY.

I believe this is truly a one of a kind instrument!
