RCA Magic Brain

This is a 1934 RCA advertising display promoting their new line of radios. Of course it isn't magic and it's a long way from being a "brain", but it was good advertising.  What it is - a modular RF tuning assembly that made it easier to build the radio.  A mirror installed on the base makes inspecting the underside easy.

The chassis tilted up so the underside can be inspected. Only the cutaway can contains a coil, the rest only have the ceramic trimmer capacitor components. Everything else is installed including the wiring harnesses that attached this module to the main chassis. The module is chrome plated for show, and to complete the effect the dial lights can be operated from a remote transformer.
